Membership update

Bike Worcester trustees (Matt, Danny and I) would like to introduce a slightly more formal membership list, to make it easier for us to manage Bike Worcester.Membership will be free, and will require you to 'renew' your membership annually. We propose to introduce the following changes to the constitution before the AGM (our Annual General Meeting):

  • You have to register as a member in order to be eligible to vote at Bike Worcester's EGMs (Extraordinary General Meeting, which can be called ad-hoc at discretion of a Trustee) or AGMs.
  • Membership will last 12 months from registration
  • For the AGM, only members registered before a specific date will be eligible to vote (e.g. start of September for a meeting in October/November)
  • For EGMs, we will give at least two weeks notice for a proposed time and meeting date with a 'registration cut off' 7 days prior to the meeting
  • We are suggesting that you have to be a registered member (by the dates specified above) to be eligible to stand as a trustee or other officer of Bike Worcester

We will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting on 24th June at 2000 at the Hive. Please join us to discuss the changes to our constitution ahead of the AGM later in the year. From a GDPR and data privacy perspective, membership details (including contact details) will only be accessible by Bike Worcester trustees, will only be used for Bike Worcester activities and will not be shared to any other third party without your explicit written consent. To register as a member, please fill out this form. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns by commenting on this post or emailing info@bikeworcester.org.uk
