Traffic Surveys Map

Worcestershire County Council undertake regular traffic surveys on roads. The data sets have been obtained by Bike Worcester under freedom of information requests, and the information analysed. It appears to be typical for the data to be reviewed looking at mean and 85%ile statistics, however Bike Worcester have gone further and analysed the following:

  • %age of vehicles speeding each hour

  • total number of vehicles speeding each hour

  • maximum speed by vehicle each hour

The location of each traffic survey is shown on the map. Clicking on each marker will provide a link to the graphs generated from the data. Bike Worcester will use this data to engage with West Mercia Police, City and County Councillors, and the residents of Worcester to highlight the frequency and danger posed by drivers speeding in our community, with the overarching aim of making the roads safer for people walking and cycling. Bike Worcester will continue to add further traffic surveys to the map as they become available.
