Cycleway Barrier Map

The map shows the location of identified barriers on cycleways, and in other locations such as entrances to playing fields. It is no longer considered acceptable practice to install metal barriers on cycleways, which in some cases are discriminatory as a result of the geometry limiting the type of vehicle that can pass through the barrier, whether that is a cycle, wheelchair, mobility scooter, or push chair. Bike Worcester volunteers identified, photographed and surveyed the barriers, and have worked with Worcestershire County Council to start removing barriers.
